Innovation: The Tropos ABLE can now be ordered with a rear or 3-sided tipper body

Herne, 13 October 2021 – Tropos Motors Europe is expanding its range of commercial vehicle bodies for its compact Tropos ABLE electric utility vehicles. Tipper bodies are the latest innovation for the manufacturer’s range of electric utility vehicles. They are available either as a rear or 3-sided feature and are ideally suited for use at building yards, facility management, garden and landscaping companies or in the agricultural sector.

Regardless of whether they are required by tradesmen, at building yards, in facility management, in the gardening and landscaping sector or in agriculture, companies are increasingly relying on electric commercial vehicles to cut CO2 emissions, reduce disturbances caused by noises and smells and lower operating costs. The vehicles used, however, have to meet the highest standards in terms of their functionality, quality and safety.

The new tipper bodies for the Tropos ABLE models are available both as a rear or 3-sided tipper at list prices starting from EUR 4,300 net. The payload capacity is between 375 and 610 kg, depending on the version and the vehicle model. With an internal height of 35 centimetres, both tipper body variants are 2.30 metres long and 1.40 metres wide. Recessed lashing points for securing loads and cabin protection are both standard features with the new vehicle bodies. The base structure, which has been specially developed for this purpose, guarantees a high level of payload capacity. The tipper bodies are equipped with a tried and tested electrohydraulic cylinder.

There is no change to the technical performance features of the Tropos ABLE models due to the new vehicle body options. The electric transporters have an operating range of up to 260 km and generate absolutely no emissions when on the move. Thanks to being just 1.40 metres wide, the compact electric utility vehicles can travel along narrow routes without any problems. They are also suitable for operations in confined spaces thanks to their short wheelbase and small turning circle.

“We’re continually expanding our range and are looking for suitable solutions to meet the requirements of as many sectors and business spheres as possible. The tipper bodies are another important milestone for our young brand. The three-sided tipper body in particular is generating a high level of demand in this sector, which is why it’s a special highlight for us to be able to launch both tipper body versions on to the market at the same time in order to meet customers’ needs in the best possible manner,” says Markus Schick, Managing Director of Tropos Motors Europe.
